Description
Standard Biostone Water Filter. 0.1-micron water filtration. The Biostone standard filter represents the state of the art in water filtration today.
A five-stage water filter that includes:
- Silver-coated activated carbon that removes harmful chlorine, trihalomethanes, phenols, sediment, odor, sour taste, organic waste, lead, pesticides, and bacteria.
- The Biostone water filter also incorporates Coral Calcium. This amazing substance, prized for years in Japan and the Philippines for its healing properties, adds calcium, magnesium and trace minerals to the water. If your water source is low in minerals these minerals will also assist the ionization process. Furthermore, it reduces harmful levels of fluoride.
- “Tourmaline” ceramic: a semiprecious gem that naturally emits infrared energy, which initiates negative ion creation even before the water is ionized and reduces surface tension.
Lifespan is 8-12 months for the Standard Biostone — depending on your water source and frequency of use. For example, if your tap water contains between 0.4 and 1.0 ppm (parts per million) of chlorine, a water filter can last 12-16 months for one person’s use. If greater than 1.0 ppm, the water filter may last 9-12 months. A family of three on a typical North American municipal water supply will use a water filter each 12 months.
An LED indicator on the front panel gives an approximate indication of remaining water filter life. By changing your water filter at regular intervals, you are assured of the inner hygiene of the filter.

Regarding the Removal of Fluorine.
Recent independent tests showed a reduction from 4.40 (ppm) parts per million to 0.59 ppm.
These tests used a high flow rate and a pH setting of only 8. If the flow rate is reduced and the pH put on a high setting, the result will be an even greater reduction as the water takes longer to go through the filter and because the more alkaline the water, the fewer the fluoride ions.
In the new Biostone filters there is a band of coral calcium. The calcium bonds with the active fluoride creating a non-reactive and safe calcium fluoride.
For fluoride test results see here.
